Evolution of a Social Media Infographic.
In an earlier version, I described my thought processes on taking a cover image by David Amerland and improving it's "visual hook" for the associated post David had written. David's feedback was warm and welcoming and he even wrote an article about my post.

However, there was a comment in these discussions that, in fact, David's original image was preferable as this was more in-keeping with his style and message, despite issues with visibility of the text. There was I feel indeed some merit in this comment, particularly as the original post's title was about "Simple Truths".

So back to the drawing board and thinking caps on again. How then to keep the essence of David's original image but to also overcome the readability issues? One of the other themes I have been exploring is how Google+'s native support of animated gifs can be better exploited as a communication tool. So my thinking is to bring these two themes together here. In particular, the circular themes of David's image lends itself to an animation on a loop. The animation in this post is the result of the confluence of these two themes.
